A Serpent's Tooth is part of a series of books about a modern day sherrif called Walt Longmire. I started reading them because of the TV series and then found that I liked the books more.
Each book tells a separate story in the life and work of Walt Longmire but there are references to previous story lines and it makes sense to read the books in sequence/5(). The book is, first, well-written for one of its type, with a clear, intelligent narrative that doesn't get in the way of things.
Additionally, the writing has a minimum of personal "coloring" on the author's part, as to avoid bias and distortion in that way. Content-wise, 'Serpent's Tooth' is satisfying and substantial, and on several by: 1. Bestselling author Catherine Lim spins a yarn of Asian superstition, beliefs and myths against a backdrop of callous, faceless modernity. The serpent's Tooth neatly telescopes three generations of traditional household into one dysfunctional household held together by the bondage of family ties and a history of wasted efforts and desperate self-delusion/5.
Though not her strongest offering, Serpent's Tooth isn't the weakest Decker novel either. The book has an excellent opening. The book has an excellent opening. Kellerman makes you care about a scattered group of people in just a few pages - and then brutally murders a large number of them.4/5.
